2003 07 Nevada, Idaho

Tuesday I thought I would get up early and go out to a place called Battleground Point in the Carson Sink.   I did get up early but didn't much feel like being up.  I had been up at 5 or so for a week plus, and up late most days as well.  So I was tired.  I started the drive out and just didn't feel like I was into it.  I knew the drive was not an easy one either, the last several miles being all sand.  I didn't go, but did do an interesting drive anyway - going all the way around the sink on what turned out to be very good gravel roads.  I will do this again and photograph.  I did some more driving around in the Fallon - Carson Sink area but took no photos.  I was almost out of film and just didn't feel into it - my eyes were tired.

So I wrapped this all up a day earlier than I had planned.  It was a very good trip though, and I know I got at least a few very good images.  It's going to take a long time to edit through all the film once I get it back and I know I will find more good shots in there once I look at it.  It's hard to remember it all and I know I will be surprised.

More next time .. not sure where it will be.  Some possibilities are:

White Sands NM, West Texas
Southwest Wyoming again (not in fire season!)
Oklahoma during tornado season
Northern AZ, southern Utah (when it isn't so hot!)
Zion NP, UT (this would take a week itself)
